Introducing Strength Camp 2019!

It’s that time of year for another Strength Camp at Arsenal Strength!  With the 2020 CrossFit open coming to a close, there is no better time to   take a small break from AMRAP’s and concentrate on putting on some muscle!

CrossFit presents many unique challenges due to the wide range of physical demands an athlete must be ready for. Regardless of how wide the array of physical skills that are involved and necessary in CrossFit, one thing will carry over into all of your skills and movements, MAXIMAL STRENGTH.

The stronger a muscle is, the more force it is capable of producing, That is why this Strength Camp will be exclusively focused on Hypertrophy training.

What is hypertrophy? Hypertrophy is a term for the growth and increase of the size of muscle cells. The nerve impulses and muscle contractions associated with basic weight training results in strength gains, sometimes even without any noticeable change in muscle size. The exercises that lead to muscle growth are those that contract the muscle against resistance repeatedly. So, along with our basic squats, pulls, and presses, you will be seeing resistance band work, bodyweight exercises, and lots of dumbbell and kettlebell accessory work.

This 4-week course will include additional individual personal training sessions to hone in on your own specific goals, additional weekly accessory work for you to do on your own, and as always, a fun time with strength coach Shannon and assistant coach Huey! Each hour-long class will focus on either upper or lower body hypertrophy training and core accessory work.

WHEN: November 26th – December 21st
Tuesday’s 7:30 – 8:30 pm and Saturday’s 10:00 – 11:00 am

PRICE:
Tier 1: $120 (1 30-minute session)
Tier 2: $160 (2 30-minute sessions)
Tier 3: $240 (4 30-minute sessions)
